Importing and Exporting the Monitoring System Data or the Monitoring Setup

This function allows you to export the entire CrystalBridge® Monitoring setup and the collected data from one SAP central system and import this setup into a different SAP system. This procedure is mainly used when you need to move the monitoring setup from one SAP central system to another SAP system or when you want to back up the CrystalBridge® Monitoring setup.

You can access the export and import functions via the CrystalBridge® Monitoring menu bar by clicking Monitor.

Proceed as follows to perform the high-level step-by-step procedure to move data from one central system to another: 

1. Before you start, stop all collector jobs that are scheduled on the old central system. 

2. Determine what kind of data you want to export: only the monitoring setup, only the collected data, or both.

   1. To export the monitoring setup, select the item Export mon. setup. 

   2. To export the collected data, select the item Export coll. data.

   3. To export both the monitoring setup and the collected data, perform steps 2a. and 2b.

3. Export all the required data, which you determined in the previous step, from the old central system.

4. Import all the exported data from the old central system into the new system.

   1. To import the monitoring setup, select the item Import mon. setup.

   2. To import collected data, select the item Import coll. data.

   3. To import both the monitoring setup and the collected data, perform steps 4a. and 4b.

5. Check whether all the data is available on the new system.
